The Marion Jr-Sr High band participated in the 77th annual Sherburne Pageant of Bands June 5-6 and came home with plenty of hardware!
Marion finished in first place in the jazz band, small ensemble, senior concert band and junior band categories. The parade band and colorguard finished second in their respective competitions and Marion also finished first in the drum major category and to top it all off, Marion won the coveted "Best in Class" trophy.
The two-day event included nearly 90 Marion band students with help from family members. The parade band marched with a "Danger Zone/Top Gun" theme and in addition to the sunset colors for shirts and flags, band parents also helped create personalized sunglasses for the students to wear during competition.
"I am so proud of how we came together to make each other better and stronger," Marion band director Christine Guck said.
Congrats to all the band members for the hard work they put in and to the parents and families who helped make the annual spring trip for the band a huge success for 2026!
