Marion Central School District – Board of Education Election

 

There are two vacancies on the Marion Central School District Board of Education. Each term is three years, beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029.

Interested in Becoming a Candidate?

If you would like to run for a seat on the Board of Education, petition packets are available starting March 1, 2026. You may pick up a packet at the District Office or print it from the candidate packet below.

Petition Submission Deadline

All completed petitions must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Petition Requirements

  • Each petition must have the signatures of at least 25 eligible voters in the Marion Central School District.

  • A voter may sign a petition for more than one candidate.

Eligibility to Vote

To sign a petition or vote in the election, an individual must:

  1. Be a citizen of the United States

  2. Be at least 18 years old

  3. Be a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to May 19, 2026
