Athletes Receive All-Greater Rochester Recognition

Two athletes who represented Marion this fall have received first-team All-Greater Rochester recognition from the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Abigail Marotta, a junior at Marion Junior-Senior High School, was named first-team in girls soccer and Larisa Kotok, a senior in the Gananda Central School District who plays on the combined Marion-Gananda team, was selected for girls tennis. Both Abigail and Larisa were also first-team selections in 2021.

Abigail scored 42 goals and added 17 assists to total 101 points this fall. She has 128 career goals in five varsity seasons.

Larisa repeated as the Section V Class B2 champion and placed second at the Section V State Qualifier while advancing to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association championships.

Girls Soccer

Ava Schubert and Hayley Wurster.

Hope Hansen and Paige VanAlstyne.
