Voters in the Marion Central School District approved a $21,224,095 budget proposal for the 2022-23 school year on Tuesday, May 17. The spending plan passed by a 335-111 margin. A $385,000 proposition to purchase two full-size passenger school buses and two small passenger buses also passed. The vote was 368 for and 80 against. Incumbents John Reesor and Jason Monroe were re-elected to three-year terms on the Board of Education. The terms run from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025. Reesor received 211 votes and Monroe received 207. Jeffrey Tullock received 180 votes, Melanie Rivera 124 and Debra Mattison 104.
