Athletic Director Discusses Benefits of Capital Project
Marion Central School District residents will vote on a proposed $14 million capital project on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
The project focuses on maintenance, accessibility, repairs and efficiency.
Several of the improvements will help upgrade the District's athletic facilities and will help our athletes and programs keep pace with other school districts in our region.
Athletic director Lori DeLyser grew up in Marion and played four varsity sports while she was in high school. DeLyser says it is important to her for the District's student-athletes to have similar opportunities to other student-athletes in Wayne County.
Key improvements include resurfacing the track, renovating the tennis courts and replacing the scoreboard in the stadium.
"I just want what's best for our kids in this moment," DeLyser said.
