Boys Cross Country Fares Well At League Meet

The Marion boys cross country team placed second in its division at the Wayne-Finger Lakes West championships Saturday at Red Jacket.

Senior Mack Brewington finished first in the division, covering the 3.1-mile course in 17 minutes, 26 seconds.

Seniors Liam Dela Osa Cruz (18:17) and Jason Lonneville (18:43) finished fifth and seventh, respectively for the Black Knights. Jonathan Lonneville (16th, 19:30), Ben DeYoung (17th, 19:31) and Matt Hosbach (28th, 21:48) also had strong showings for Marion.

The Black Knights will complete their season at the Section V Class D championships on Saturday afternoon at Oakfield-Alabama.
