Summer break is a great time to READ for fun!  Check out this site for good book suggestions:

http://www.bankstreet.edu/bookcom/

The list is organized by age and by category--so, if for example, you are looking for an adventure story for a seven-year-old, a nonfiction science book for a fourteen-year-old, or a fantasy book for a sixteen-year-old, you can find it easily.

Check out the link on the left side of the page for more suggestions!

The research is clear: Children who are read to, and who read for pleasure, are significantly more successful in school than children who do not. Give your children a head start on success -- teach them that reading is FUN!  (From: www.nea.org)
