Marion's Future-Superintendent's Forum As the budget process progresses, there has been a lot of conversation out in our community. In an effort to answer people's questions, I have scheduled a Superintendent's Forum on Marion's Future. Please come and ask questions, get facts, or express opinions. It will be an informal meeting. Thursday, March 1st in the Jr-Sr High Library at 7:00 PM. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Happy New Year! As the year 2012 begings, we continue to navigate the future of Marion Central School District. Offering as much to students as possible is a goal as well as being fiscally responsible. A never ending quest! The budget committee meets before every Board of Education meeting at 6:00 PM in room 19 at the Jr-Sr High building. He has a message for students and parents and another one for educators. The videos are a great way to get a consistent message out to all districts in the state of New York from the State Education Department. Also, I am scheduling a Superintendent Forum for September 19th from 5:30-6:30. The purpose of the forum is to provide a vehicle for dialogue with the community, a place to ask questions, offer opinions or ideas, or just listen to the conversation. The Board of Education will finalize the budget at the April 4th Board meeting and vote to adopt it on April 18th.
